After a few minor issues, YouTuber Flexiny gets the engine back into working order and gives the filthy German sedan a nice detail.

Known as the third member of the German Big Three, luxury automotive manufacturer Audi wasn't always the sports car maker it's known as today. For the older generations of gearheads, the idea of owning and maintaining an Audi was a guaranteed recipe for endless headaches and irrevocable financial ruin — especially if you live in the States.

For those either old enough to remember or those who know automotive history will remind you of the fatal unintended acceleration scandal involving Audi in the mid-80s after hundreds of accidents — and several deaths — made headlines across the country. Bouncing back within a handful of years, due in large part to the success of the B4 80 series, the four-ringed automaker has since become one of the most profitable luxury automakers in the world.

So when silent YouTuber, Flexiny found his own B4 80 series wasting away in a forest, he knew there was a rock-solid car underneath, just waiting for someone to rescue it.

Given Flexiny's ASMR-style filming style, we're handed minimal context as the first scene opens up to a half-rotten Audi 80 stuck nearly up to its fenders in a muddy patch. As the Estonian YouTuber makes his way around the car with a few subtitles sporadically thrown in, we get the sense that he's checking the car's vitals to see if he can turn the engine over.

After a fresh battery, some fuel, and a new fuel pump relay, the crusty 80 springs to life as if it had just awakened from a nightmare — huffing and puffing included.

RELATED: Here's Why Audis Are Still Not Reliable In 2021 Things get even more interesting when Flexiny breaks out the mobile air compressor to begin inflating the cracked tires, leaving us to decipher that this wild man plans on driving the Audi out of its seven-year parking spot and into his garage.

Unfortunately for Flexiny, his moldy Audi experienced a loss of power halfway home and had to call in a friend to help tow the rest of the way.

RELATED: Closer Look At The Classic Audi 80 Which Turns 50 in 2022 After diagnosing the problem, we come to find the fuel injection system corroded away over the years, leaving the Audi with no electricity in the injector plug. Once it's up and running, it's off to the other side of the property where the car receives its first bath in over seven years. This reveals a lovely, metallic gray paint job underneath the years of moss, mold, and mud.

So the next time you come across a classic Audi rotting away in the forest, chances are a little ingenuity — and a lot of automotive experience — can help rescue a piece of Audi history.
