PHILLIPS — A regional plastics manufacturer will be closing its Medford facility and shifting jobs to its other companies in north central and western Wisconsin.
Phillips-Medisize announced on Aug. 18 that in an analysis of its global footprint, the company will close its Whelen Avenue facility in Medford in a series of phases by the end of 2023. There are currently 170 employees at the Medford site, who will be offered a severance package with employee assistance to transition internally or out of the company over the coming months, according to a Phillips-Medisize media team spokesperson.
