A local camp is helping middle school children in the Triad learn STEM and exposing them to career options in manufacturing.

Molding kids for Success is held at Core Technology Molding Corporation in Greensboro.

Kids and their parents learn about plastic injection molding and manufacturing through projects.

This is the second time the camp has been held and has seen an increase in kids who are interested.

"Building relationships is really important and we think that this camp is a great way of bringing the community together," project engineer Brandon Frederick said.

"We can expand not just at the community level, but as a nation we can bring everybody together," he said.

The 2022 session of the camp runs from July 18-22.
