When GreenTech Plastics Machinery first opened their doors for business in 2016, they supplied one of their first customers, diemaster Industries, with an ENGEL injection moulding machine. But this was not diemaster’s first ENGEL unit. diemaster has been a loyal ENGEL customer for the past 22 years, purchasing their very first machine in 2000. Today, diemaster operates twelve ENGEL machines at its facility in Kya Sands, Johannesburg.
Established in December 1973, diemaster Industries is a leading contract manufacturer for plastic injection moulded parts and products for South African industry. The company specialises in product design and development, tool and die making, plastic injection moulding and parts finishing. “We use eleven hydraulic ENGEL machines and one fully electric machine to manufacture technical components for automation, automotive and general consumer products,” confirms diemaster Industries Managing Director, Marco Prieschl. “Our loyalty to GreenTech over the past six years is based on the excellent performance of the ENGEL machines as well as the outstanding service we receive from the GreenTech team.”
According to Marco, ENGEL is the only injection moulding machine that utilises a patented tiebarless design. “This allows for more flexibility on mould allocation, e.g. larger moulds can be run on smaller machines as there are no tiebars that get in the way! In addition, the machines allow for increased flexibility in job and machine allocation. The fact that we can recall settings allows for a rapid job setup. Moreover, the moulding parameters are stored and accurately controlled ensuring product quality. These functionalities enable us to meet and exceed our customers’ high standards and ensure that we deliver on time.” Marco also lauds the GreenTech team for always being friendly and responding to any enquiries promptly. “We are very satisfied with their service.” concludes Marco.
