The frames are made from a non-GMO castor seed oil - a bio-based material

Modo’s Eco bio-based collection of eyewear has won an IF Design Award 2022, which recognised outstanding design and social engagement.

Styles come with a magnetic clip-on to transform the model from spectacles to sunglasses. The magnet is integrated into the material and hidden from view using gradient colouring on some models and as a continuation of the temple on others.

Frames are made from a non-GMO castor seed oil, which is a bio-based material that creates a lightweight, flexible and comfortable feel. The slim look of the sun clip was created by injection moulding, which also eliminated waste material. Packaging is made from recycled PET and recycled paper with Modo planting a tree for each frame sold as an added sustainable credential.
